Yosemite Weather
Yosemite weather is pretty much predictable in the Summer from June to September - it will be >sunny and warm during the day.
In the Spring, generally April and May, the Yosemite weather will vary greatly.
You could get really warm and sunny day or you could experience a late winter storm.
The Tioga Pass Entrance (East) and Glacier Point will probably still be closed. All vehicles must carry chains, just in case. As the snow starts to melt, this is the best time to view the waterfalls.
In the Fall, from October through November, Yosemite weather is variable as well. You could experience really warm and sunny day or an early winter storm.
Case in point, we were at Yosemite in Oct 2004 and it was a gorgeous day - warm, sunny and blue skies.
Several days later, there was huge winter storm and many people were caught off-guard, trapped and had to be rescued. A few died in that storm.
Again, vehicles must carry chains. Waterfalls are generally quite dry by this time. In the Winter from December through March, well, it is winter.
All vehicles must carry chains. Tioga Pass Entrance (East) and the road to Glacier Point is closed.
There is downhill and cross-country skiing at Badger Pass. The Yosemite weather in winter will be cold and there will be snow but it could be sunny, blue skies and just simply a beautiful winter wonderland.
Don't worry, Yosemite Valley is open all year.
