Shinzen Garden
There is also a Japanese Garden called Shinzen Garden located within Woodward Park. This beautiful and serene 5-acre oasis was designed by landscape designer, Paul Saito from Orange County, CA and he was assisted by a master teahouse designer from Japan, Shiro Nakagawa. The Shinzen Garden was dedicated to Fresno's Sister City - Kochi, Japan, as a symbol of friendship and for the promotion of cultural relations between the two cities.
The Shinzen Garden is open from 10:00 am to dusk on Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
From May I through September 30, the Garden is open daily from 5:00 p.m. to dusk. The entrance fee is $3 for adults 15 to 55 years, and 50 cents for seniors and children 4 to 14 years of age.
The garden is really beautiful so we hope you'll go check it out yourself.
